These formal engagement photos on the Blue Ridge Parkway are everything and more.
Alli and Zach were visiting NC over the summer and decided they wanted their engagement photos taken in the mountains. She specifically wanted formal photos taken somewhere pretty on the Parkway. I instantly knew where I was going to take them. Alli’s family is from NC but Zach was new to NC and wanted to have the full experience while visiting. Little did he know, he would be standing on a rock overlooking the most beautiful scenery on the east coast (in my opinion)!
Not to mention the timing was absolutely perfect for this engagement session! We were able to have perfect weather and catch the gorgeous sunset. If it’s possible, I always try to time every session during the golden hour, those sunset views from our North Carolina Mountains are unbeatable.
Alli’s parents came along on our adventure and took some amazing behind the scenes shots for me! It was so fun. Little did Alli’s parents know they were going to witness a steamy mountain session. After a little bit of coaxing, these two opened up and had a bunch of fun making out and dangling their legs over the ledge. It’s always my goal to make sure you are your true selves during our shoot, and if that means making out in front of your parents, that’s what we will do!
