Blue Ridge Mountain Photography | Landscapes and Wildflowers

My Blue Ridge Mountain Photography started with just photos of my wedding and family sessions but over the last few years I have started collecting photographs of my travels in the Blue Ridge Mountains.  I’m originally a Family and Wedding Photographer in Boone, NC. However, I have a soft spot in my heart for wildflowers and the beautiful landscapes, as many people do.  In college I studied Ecology and Environmental Biology at Appalachian State University and fell in love with the local flora.  I took a few classes in Botany, Ecology and “Fleshy Fungi” (aka mushrooms), where my love for everything living began.

Anyway, I thought I would share those photos with you too.  If you like them be sure to check out my nature portfolio HERE! You can buy prints or framed prints. And, as always, if you book a session with me and I capture one of these beauties during that session, it’s included in your photos!wild plant at the Blue Ridge Parkway Viaduct

This photo was taken during sunrise at Thunder Hill Overlook on the Blue Ridge Parkway in Blowing Rock, NC.  I was photographing a family and had to capture the beautiful light hitting all of the goldenrod.

Rough Ridge

I was shooting a surprise proposal on Rough Ridge and it happened to be a full moon that night.  This was around 6:00am, the sun was rising and the moon was setting.  It was cold AF but breathtaking.

This is probably my most favorite wildflower on the parkway.  I know it’s probably just a weed but it’s so beautiful.  (Aster)
