Sunrise Family Photos

This sunrise family photos session was one for the books! We took a bit of an adventure to Blowing Rock, NC along the Blue Ridge Mountains here. One of my favorite places for outdoor adventure shoots. I love shooting in the fields, along the fence, on the roads (carefully of course), and overlooking the mountains. The light is beyond gorgeous and all the different natural backgrounds only adds to the experience.

I’ve been photographing this sweet family since before Cali was born. It has been so much fun watching this sweet girl grow. She seriously is happy every single time we take pictures together. The older she gets, the funnier she is. It’s impossible not to laugh around Cali.

Back in high school, Aerial let me practice taking pictures of her. Ha! This was when “color pop” was the cool thing to do. You remember, black and white photo with only one or two things in color and WAY over saturated?? Yes, that was my jam! Thank goodness for practice and the sweet people that let me practice on them.

Anyway, I hope you can feel the love in these photos. My heart just swells looking back at this shoot. On top of that, the Blue Ridge Mountains are always showing off.
